  • Story behind the image:

    This was my last sunrise at Death Valley National Park for this trip and I had 1 piece of 8x10 sheet film left. I waited for just the right moment when the clouds lit up with color and carefully metered the scene. I only had one chance to get this image right. It was well worth the 4 am wake-up call and I feel blessed to have been able to witness such a beautiful sunrise.
